I am a young, fourteen year old boy, Who happens to be Asian, and Scandinavian. I live in the wonderful town of Belmont, in a blue house on Richardson Road. I come from playing in the school parking lot, and watching the trees wave at me through the windows.
I, as a young boy, like many things. Like fresh and delicious food, and the smell of my grandmother's kitchen. I love the cool, exhilarating rush of swimming, The funky flow of jazz, and the soothing feeling of playing my instruments. I love just chatting with friends, and enjoying how we roar with laughter, like the thunderclouds on a rainy day.
I am a part of all these communities, Music Swimming Family and Friends Just another piece in the puzzle of the world. I may not be perfect, And I might be a little different than you. Or maybe a lot different. Or maybe just the same. But the point is, We all have our differences, And community is what brings us together. B3 is Chris Bauge
Wanda Coleman Share something from your poet research that surprised or interested you. For example: I learned from a Dan Chiasson profile of the poet Wanda Coleman that she made innovations in her poetry when she " rummaged for new forms in everyday material, like aptitude tests, medical reports, and want ads." I like the idea that forms don't always have to be inherited from the classics, but can come from the "everyday material" that surrounds us.
Watch the screencast on Elizabeth Bishop’s “The Fish.” Also, choose a poem from our class page (I’ve been posting poems of the day since the school closure). Read it aloud and respond to it on the discussion page (include the poet, poem title, and a question, observation, connection, inference, etc.). Example: I read "The Enkindled Spring" by D.H. Lawrence. I found the imagery in the first two lines to be a vivid description of what I'm noticing when I go outside these days. This spring as it comes bursts up in bonfires green, Wild puffing of emerald trees, and flame-filled bushes When I squint at the tennis ball green buds on the maple trees these days, it does look like "bonfires green."
